WHERE TO START |
|
Lighting systems are new and fascinating to me.
I am looking for recommendations where to start.
my plan is to grow plants (vegies) inside in soil in pots. I would like to grow up to 12 plants in pots at any given time. What size/type system do you recommend, budget is a concern.
Thanks.
best regards, bp

Bill- How much area are you looking to cover with your lights?

As Matt said, it depends on the size of your area. To grow that many plants I'll assume you have approximately a 10x10 area. For a room of that size you'll need to have at least 1 1000w light. We now sell 1000w switchable systems. What this means is that you can use a metal halide for your vegetative cycle, then just throw the switch change to an H.P.S. bulb for the flowering cycle. Theses systems go for $519.95, and also come in 400w as well. |
