The Gro-Check pH Meter has been specifically designed to address the needs of the operators in the hydroponics, greenhouses and nurseries. The meter has all the characteristics necessary to check the pH of the fertilizer mix during its preparation. The Gro-Check pH Meter is sturdy and waterproof. It also floats so that it can be quickly retrieved if accidentally dropped in the tank. The rugged pH electrode supplied with the meter is constructed using the latest double junction technology and a Hanna exclusive replenishable fiber junction. In addition, the probe measures 25 cm (10 inches) and can be even used to mix the fertilizer solution! Should the need arise to change the electrode, simply detach and replace it without having to take it to a specialist. To resolve the problem of batteries going down and requiring frequent replacement, the meter will run for 2000 hours continuously on the common AA-type batteries that come with it. This translates itself into more than 2 years of continuous service if the meter is used for up to 2 hours a day, every day of the week! Calibration too has been simplified to one-point through a dial right on the front of the meter. The outer casing also incorporates a molded eye so that the meter can be hung when not in use.
