Thanks for all you help on this matter. I talked to an electrican and here is what he said: Paul yes, you could go exactly what you said, i am an electrician, the only precautions i would take is for you to run a 600 volt insulated wire to accomplish your remote ballast, the output voltage of most HID (high intensity Discharge) fixtures is just over 500 volts, so I would remote this with a piece of mc cable, that is a piece of flexible metal covered cable to protect it from physical damage.
also how much is the superspectrum hood by itself?

Glad we could be of help. Just so you know , we sell power and hood cords here. They are eight and fifteen feet long respectively.Also a super spectrum hood is $110.00. Thanks for your patronage. |

get some really thick wire, thicker than what u see going to the bulb. you will NOT need the ground because there are only 2 wires! if you were to do the socket side, you'd need all 3 |
